LIBRARY BOARD OF ADVISORS

The Library Board of Advisors participates in the formation of the Library Strategic Plan that is used to focus limited resources on library services that meet the needs of our customers, to evaluate current and future services more effectively, and to guide the creation of a budget that reflects identified customer needs. The Board recommends operating policies for the public library system. The Library Board of Advisors is, by statute, responsible for the content of the library collection. This Board currently meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. Each year one meeting is held in each of the seven branch libraries and the Scott County Law Library with four meetings being held at Library Administration.

There are five citizen members on the Library Board of Trustees, one from each Commissioner District. Members serve three-year terms, and are eligible to serve three consecutive terms.
