What is a Child and Teen Checkup?
A Child & Teen Checkup is a preventative "Well Child" exam at YOUR clinic, by YOUR physician. The Checkup includes:
- A complete physical exam, including height and weight.
- A review of your child's development.
- Hearing and Vision Checks.
- Information on good health and nutrition.
- Lab tests, including lead tests for toddlers.
- Immunizations.
- Referrals to other health professionals when appropriate.
When should my child get a Child & Teen Checkup?
- Between Birth and 1 month.
- At 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18 months.
- At 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 years.
- Every two years after age 6.
When should my child go to the Dentist?
- Within six months after first tooth erupts, or no later than age one.
- Dental visits should be done every six months, or more often if your dentist recommends.
