To become a Notary Public, you will need to contact:

You may register your commission at Scott County in person or by mail.

  • You must be a Scott County resident.
  • In person, you must present a driver’s license for identification, pay the $20.00 fee, and show your commission certificate.
  • By mail, you must send your original commission certificate, the $20.00 fee, and a separate piece of blank white paper showing your signature that has been notarized by another notary.
