  • Beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, County Highway 101 will close between downtown Shakopee and County Highway 61 in Chanhassen. During that time there will be no access to the 101 river bridge.  All lanes are expected to reopen by 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29.
  • ​The Scott Soil and Water Conservation District recently honored volunteers who help promote and carry out various conservation programs each year. Thank you, volunteers!
  • ​Meet our new Water Resource Technician, Jonathan Hess. Among other things, his role is to monitor and improve water quality in our lakes and streams.
  • ​Full Closure of County Highway 17 Both directions of County Highway 17 in the City of Shakopee will be closed from the intersection of County Highway 42 to County Highway 78 beginning at 5:00am on Monday, August 31st as construction crews install water main and casings. The Highway will reopen Wednesday, September 2nd. There will be no access to County Highway 17. Motorists are advised to follow the signed detour in order to bypass the closure.   • The Scott County HHW Facility will be closed on Saturday, September 5, for the Labor Day Holiday Weekend.
  • ​Scott County is accepting sealed bids until September 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., for heating and cooling rooftop units (RTU) at three locations.
  • Cedar Lake Farm Regional Park near New Prague is closed until Memorial Day weekend next year for the Phase 1 Development Project. Look for improvements to the beach, boat launch, trails, parking area, pavilion, and the iconic red barn next spring.
  • ​The Emerald Ash Borer is a half-inch sized green beetle that kills ash trees.  It is often spread to new locations when people transport firewood or other ash wood products that carry the larvae.  When its presence is confirmed by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA), a county-wide quarantine is placed upon the transport of all ash wood products.  Please read the MDA News Release and related websites for more information on what the quarantine means for you.
  • The 1/2% transportation sales tax will enable Scott County to help fund projects for road, bridge, and transit projects to continue the County's commitment to providing safe and efficient transportation now and in the future.
