Scott County HHW Program Receives International Awards
The Scott County Household Hazardous Waste Program was recognized by the North American Hazardous Materials Management Association (NAHMMA) in October of 2008, when they were presented with a “Program Innovation Award." This prestigious international award recognizes local units of government that have come up with innovative and cost-effective ways to operate their HHW programs.
In 2010 our HHW Program was recognized by that same organization with the "Public Sector - Private Sector Cooperation Award." That award highlights efforts for government programs that partner with private companies in an effort to operate more efficiently and effectively.
The Scott County HHW Program is proud to have received these prestegious NAHMMA Awards. We will continue to search for more efficient ways to serve Scott County residents in the future!
