Small Business Fluorescent Lamp
Collection Schedule
On the first Tuesday of each month (excluding major holidays), Scott County will offer local businesses the opportunity to recycle their used fluorescent lamps (including 4’, 8’, circular, U-shaped, and CFLs – or compact fluorescent lamps) for a very reasonable fee. And, believe it or not, it gets even better! If the participating business brings in a copy of their electric bill to this Scott County collection event (from MVEC, New Prague Public Utilities, Shakopee Public Utilities, or Xcel Energy), then their electric utility company will pay for the first 10 bulbs….helping you to save even more money!
In addition to fluorescent lamps, local businesses may bring other items to this once-a-month collection as well. The list of accepted items includes: used electronic devices (computers, TVs, stereos), appliances (microwaves, refrigerators, stoves, etc), and automobile tires (car, SUV, and light trucks) – click here for a list of problem materials prices.
No other business wastes (hazardous chemicals) may be brought to Scott County without a prior appointment. Please contact Scott County at 952-496-8477 to arrange such an appointment.
These Business Bulb collection events will be held at the Scott County HHW Facility from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon, on the first Tuesday of each month (except on major holidays, and during the period of December 20-January 5).
