Individual Sewage Treatment
System (ISTS) Loan Program

Do you have a failing or non-complying ISTS or septic system on your property? If so, we have good news for you! Low interest loans are available now, under the Agricultural Best Management Practices Loan Program. These loans are designed especially to help residents to upgrade and/or replace their old, non-complying septic systems. Yes, as a Scott County resident, you can now use these low interest loans to bring your ISTS (septic system) into compliance with current standards (Minn. Rules Chapter 7080). The Agricultural Best Management Practices Loan Program, available through the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, is administered locally through the Scott County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD).
