Scott Watershed Management Organization
Cost Share & Incentive Program
The Scott Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) and the Scott Watershed Management Organization (WMO) sponsor a joint cost share and incentive program for water quality improvement projects. Nineteen different water quality practices are eligible. Scott county landowners, cities, townships, and others including associations and improvement districts can submit applications for projects and cost share funds. Applications are taken on a continuous basis.

Grade Stabilization
Grassed Waterways
Gully Stabilization
Innovative Projects (municipalities)
Lakeshore Stabilization and Restoration
Native Grass Plantings/Burnings
Abandoned Well Sealing
Terraces
Rock Tile Inlets
Manure Testing
Riparian Forest Buffers
Rain Gardens
Water & Sediment Basins
The following practices are eligible for incentive payments:
Grassed filter strips (harvestable & non-harvestable)
Native grass plantings
Prescribed burns
Wetland restoration (through the WREP program)
