Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
A geographic information system (GIS) lets us visualize, question, analyze, and interpret spatial data to understand relationships, patterns, and trends.
GIS Technology Update: Several of our mapping applications have been retired as of January 12th, 2015.
We will be implementing a new GIS infrastructure in order to provide better service and newer technology. Unfortunately, when we make the switch, a few of our existing applications will no longer be able to be supported. The following legacy applications have been retired as of January 12, 2015:
- FSA Section Aerial Slides
- Public Works Road Projects
We have made every effort possible to incorporate the functionality from these applications into ScottGIS 2.0 for the time being. Please do not hesitate to contact us with anything related to the upgrade or the above applications. We will do our best to make the switch as easy on all of you as possible.
Questions and comments can be directed to GIS Staff.
