Contraband
THE SCOTT COUNTY JAIL IS A SECURE DETENTION FACILITY. THE INTRODUCTION OF CONTRABAND OR WEAPONS INTO THE FACILITY IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
Contraband definition: Item or items that would either compromise the safety and/or security of the facility, hinder facility operations, or would be considered illegal to possess by Minnesota State Statutes. Contraband is further defined as items which are not authorized by the facility, authorized items in excess of allowed limits, and items which have been altered form their original state.
Contraband items include but are not limited to the following:
- Guns
- Knives
- Chemical Sprays
- Cell Phones
- Nail Files, Tweezers, Nail Clipper
- Razors
- Box Cutters
- Scissors
- Knitting Needles
- Needles of any type
- Drugs
- Swiss Army Card
- Large sets of keys
- Any items that may be used as a weapon
- Recording Devices
- Cameras of any type
- Radios, Portable TVs, I-Pods, MPS Players, Tape Players, Etc
- Pornographic Materials, Magazines, Pictures, Etc
Other items may be refused at the discretion of the Jail Staff
