Inmate Property and Money

• Inmate property can be collected at the Scott County Jail lobby.
• If a person wishes to pick up an inmate’s property, the inmate must complete and sign a Release Form. Please call 952 496 8314 to insure paperwork has been completed before you come to the jail to pick up the property.
• One set of clothing, suitable for court may be brought for an inmate’s Jury trial appearance. Prior to bringing clothes to the Scott County Jail for an inmate. Call 952 496 8314, and ask to speak to the Duty Sergeant. All clothing items must be pre-approved prior to drop off. You will be given a date and time to drop off approved items.
• With prior approval inmates who are on Sentence to Service may have clothing items brought in.
• Money may be sent to inmates through the US mail in the form of cash or money order made payable to “The Scott County Jail for the account of (inmate’s name). For mailing information click on Mail.
• All inmates will have an account set up at the time of booking.
• Funds may be deposited into an inmate’s account via the jail lobby kiosk or TW Vending ~ Link to www.inmatecanteen.com
• Money deposited into an inmate account becomes the property of the inmate. You are not entitled to a refund.
