Page Content Releases
- Inmates who have completed their sentence will begin being processed for release between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. daily.
- If you’re anticipating the release of a friend or family member; it is important for you to understand that releases may take several hours depending on the number of releases taking place and release conditions set by the courts.
- Prior to any release, the Jail Staff is required to complete several steps including warrant checks, victim notifications, conditional release meetings, and processing from housing areas. Any delay in these steps may increase the time it takes to release individuals.
- Although you are welcome to wait in our lobby; we want you to know that it may be several hours before the individual you are waiting for will be released. The Scott County Jail does allow individuals being released from custody to use a free phone system to make arrangements to be picked up from the jail.
