Shattered is a play about Kayla, who, in one moment, makes a choice that irrevocably changes the course of her life. You will watch with interest, hope, and finally horror as Kayla continues a downward spiral that destroys her relationships, her health, and her future; becoming, in the end, exactly the person she never believed she could be--a meth addict.

Kayla is a character of the playwright's imagination, however the situations she finds herself in are common among the recovering teens and young adults the playwright interviewed. Shattered is a synthesis of these stories and those gathered from parents, counselors, prevention specialists, journalists, and others who generously shared their thoughts, experiences, writings and research with her.
