UPDATE 3/16/2020 - TRIAL POSTPONEMENTS DUE TO COVID-19 - PLEASE THOROUGHLY READ THE BELOW INFORMATION
Due to COVID-19, the MN Supreme Court has ordered, with the exception of certain high priority cases, that no new jury trials will begin for the next 30 days. Therefore, the vast majority of our jury trials are being postponed. If you received a subpoena for a jury trial for any date between now (March 16th) and April 17, 2020, you can assume that the case has been continued and you are not needed for trial during that date range. For the high priority cases where a trial is taking place, the Scott County Attorney’s Office will reach out to those witnesses to discuss when they need to appear.
Cases will be rescheduled for some time after the 30 days and you will get a new subpoena with the new date.
If you have any questions about this information, please feel free to call the County Attorney’s Office at 952-496-8240.
This information will be updated as necessary based on any changing circumstances.
