Project Update
Starting June 10th, a temporary creek bypass will be put in to replace the existing bridge with three box culverts.
June 15, 2020: Tree clearing is underway. Creek diversion and bridge removal to begin next week.
June 30, 2020: Box culverts were installed and back filled. Road work and paving will begin and road is on schedule to be reopened to the public in a few weeks.
July 23, 2020: CH 15 bridge is now open. Crews will continue to work on the roadway to complete shoulder and striping work. No further road closures are expected.
Description
This project is meant to replace Bridge Number 70502 located on County Highway 15 over Sand Creek in Helena Township. The project improvements include grading, aggregate base, bituminous surfacing and bridge replacement. The existing bridge will be replaced with three concrete box culverts

This project is part of the ongoing program to modernize bridges throughout the County.
