1. What is SmartLink?

SmartLink is a mobility management team that can help link you to transportation resources anywhere in the seven county metro area. Transportation options may include fixed route public transit, Transit Link (commonly known as Dial a Ride), Metro Mobility, Non Emergency Medical Transportation through Medical Assistance, or even a Volunteer Driver.

2. What services do you provide?

We currently offer Dial-a-Ride, Medical Assistance and Volunteer Driver program.

3. Do you provide group outings?

SmartLink will consider all shared ride requests for group outings, based on availability, during regular service. Please contact Customer Service at 952-496-8341 to discuss your transportation needs.

4. What are your service hours?

Customer Service is available from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Please call 952.496.8341 option 1

Carver County Transit Link buses operate Monday through Friday 6:00AM-7:00PM   

Scott County Transit Link service is Monday through Friday from 6:00AM to 9:00PM and  weekend service is available 7:30AM-4:30PM

5. Does your Dial-a-Ride operate on holidays?

Transit Link services are not available on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day or New Years Day.

6. How do I catch the Dial-a-Ride bus?

You do need a reservation to use the Transit Link Dial-a-Ride bus. To set up that reservation, simply call one of our Customer Service Agents at 952-496-8341option 1. We will take your ride request up to 7 days in advance. The earlier you call, the better the chance of availability.

7. How much does the Dial-a-Ride service cost?

Fares are based on time of day. 

Peak Hours 6AM-9AM and 3PM-6:30PM $4.50

Non Peak Hours Weekdays 9AM-3PM,  Weeknights 6:30PM-9PM (Scott County) and Weekends 7:30-4:30 (Scott County) $3.50

 You may use a Go To card or pay cash.  We ask that you pay the bus drivers when you get on the bus and, remember, drivers cannot make change so please bring the correct amount of your fare with you.
